An Eventful Year For Yarrabilba Connect
Yarrabilba Connect has been busy working its way through the new normal with COVID-19, our community facilities at the Yarrabilba Sport and Community Hub on Shaw Street Ovals are fully open and available for Hire. We have office space, community space and sporting fields including change rooms to cater for a wide range of community, business and sporting purposes.
We are excited at how the Yarrabilba Touch Program is continuing to grow, we now have a junior competition on a Wednesday afternoon in addition to the open competition on Friday nights. We are now affiliated with Touch Football Australia and were very excited to able to have 3 teams represent Yarrabilba Sport at the Touch Queensland State Cup on the Gold Coast – For more information on Touch, check out our Yarrabilba Touch Facebook page.
The Yarrabilba Community Garden is flourishing with some great produce growing, this is free for the community to come and take the produce. If you wish to find out what is available or would like to get involved follow the updates on Facebook Yarrabilba Community Garden
Our Community Support Programs continue to grow, with our partnership with KENG providing food parcels on a monthly basis from the Yarrabilba Sports and Community Hub. Keep an eye on social media for dates and times.
Due to COVID requirements, Yarrabilba’s Signature Community Christmas Event – Carols in the Parklands will look a little different this year. We will be bringing Yarrabilba a Digital Version of Carols in the Parklands this year that will include Santa and Fireworks on the 19th December with a special Christmas replay on the 24th December.
We look forward to 2021 providing opportunity for us to deliver and exciting range of community events!
