Ingenia Lifestyle Bethania Visit Silky Oak Man
Guests from Ingenia Lifestyle Bethania stepped back in time and thoroughly enjoyed a relaxed morning of tea, coffee, stories, woodwork and a bit of fun in the shed!
A bus trip to visit Graham the Silky Oak Timber Man’s handcrafted wood turning, furniture, grandfather clocks and raw timber at Stockleigh was a very enjoyable morning for all.
A surprise to this visit was a beautiful country morning tea of hand baked cookies and cake, cheese platter and old fashioned sweets, which was prepared to welcome the guests for their morning of discovery on Graham’s veranda before venturing into his many sheds of beautiful timberwork, and
vintage farm tools and historic items which he had collected for most of his life. Graham is nearly 83 and a young fellow at heart, and has a wide range of history and stories to share. Graham is a 6th generation early Pioneer and enjoys telling stories from the good old days of Logan Village and a few of his own jokes thrown in as well. He has even written a few books and is looking forward to publishing another book in the near future to expand on the Logan Village history and share his knowledge and experiences of life on the land.
You can check out his facebook pages: Graham the silky oak timber man, and Logan Village @ Bobermien. A visit to Graham’s shed and to see his wonderful woodwork is by appointment only. Please contact his daughter Noeleen on 0409 473 284.
