‘What’s On In The Lions Den’
Hi again readers of the Yarrabilba and Logan Village Bulletin it’s
the October issue already and from the 1st of October it is only 12
weeks to Christmas – a frightening thought! Since the last issue the club has not had too many events on its calendar, with some events being cancelled , we have done a couple of Woollies Sausage Sizzles in the Village and on the 11th did a BBQ for the LV Community Markets , bit of a quiet month , but
things will pick up in the next few months. Each month we will have a section called “In the Zone” in which Lion Euan will inform us what he has been undertaking in his role as Zone Chair of Zone 7

Hi from Lion Euan Zone – Chair Lions District 201Q1 – Zone 7
The Clubs in the Zone are as follows: Logan South East (Carbrook –
Loganholme) Logan Underwood, Logan Village, Logan West (Browns
Plains area), Rochedale Springwood, and Woodridge Kingston.
I have visited the following clubs to introduce myself and to review
their progress and discuss the clubs needs and objectives
•24th August Woodridge Kingston, visited with the District Governors team to discuss all current Lions matters and discuss future objectives for the club and zone.
• 26th August hosted my first Zone meeting at our club, it was well attended and we achieved some good outcomes on matters that affected us all, I had the opportunity to inform all clubs of new matters arising from District Cabinet and Lions International.
• 2nd September Visited Logan Southeast, a small club that achieves a lot given its size, we are working to increase membership and fund raising opportunities.
• 9th September Logan Village Club, my home club, I gave a presentation at our Dinner meeting on the Lions organizational set ups both Australian, District and Zone, answering any questions from attending Lions.
• 14th September visited Woodridge Kingston club, again a small club but one that has a core of longstanding members, again we discussed how to increase membership and what new fundraising opportunities we could try.
Future Important Dates:
• 18th September District Cabinet Meeting
• 5-7th November District Convention at Kooralbyn

Lions Christmas Raffle
