Excitement Builds For JC Arts & Craft Festival
Excitement is building for the annual JC Arts & Craft Festival to be held in Jimboomba in April. The festival has been running for over ten years and showcases the work of local artists and craftspeople. But its main purpose is to raise funds for local school chaplains.
The chaplains or “chappies” provide an invaluable service in schools where they support students and their families who face a broad range of issues. Local chappie, Jamie Sharp, says there are no barriers to the support chaplains can give in schools.
Festival organiser, Tracy Brussow, is hoping to have fine weather and more people through the gates this year. Attractions will include craft stalls, demonstrations of lace making, spinning, an art exhibition, a display of quilts, live music, food, and face painting. There will also be performances by FAD Cheer & Dance.
