Yarrabilba Cane Toads On The Look Out For Members…
Twelve months ago you would’ve struggled to have even heard of the
Yarrabilba Cane Toads – in fact as history now shows the Yarrabilba Cane Toads were still over a month away from playing their first cricket match and Australia as a whole were on the verge of coming out of our first nationwide lockdown as a result of the global pandemic.
Between then and now the Yarrabilba Cricket Association, known more
commonly by their playing name the Yarrabilba Cane Toads, have qualified for both summer and winter graded cricket finals series, while the senior Last Man Stands side has won the summer Division 3, and winter Division 2 titles.
The Cane Toads are looking to expand and are currently looking for junior participants in our introduction to cricket programs, the Woolworths Junior and Master Blaster programs, are designed by Cricket Australia to teach children the fundamentals of the game in a fun and interactive environment.
Junior Cricketers (especially those aged 12-15) are encouraged to sign up for our Junior Last Man Stands side, in which games are played on Sunday mornings with the good news for parents that the matches are over in just two-hours, the umpire also scores, meaning you can sit back and enjoy watching your child play cricket for the Yarrabilba Cane Toads.
There are also places available in both Last Man Stands (Sunday) and Graded Cricket (Saturday) for senior players. The Yarrabilba Cricket
Association remains one of the only Level 3 Accredited Good Sports Club,
and are approved activity providers of the Queensland Governments Fair
Play Voucher.
All cricket comes with club kit and until the end of September there is an early bird discount for those who register. Find Yarrabilba Cricket on Facebook or visit www.yarrabilbacricket.com for more information.
