What’s On In The Lions Den For November
Hello again readers of the Logan Village and Yarrabilba Bulletin it’s the
November issue and only 8 weeks to Christmas, start that Christmas shopping early as the retailers are forecasting shortages on many
items this year, I think Gift vouchers are looking a good way to go.
October has turned out to have been a quiet month for us Lions , we
had the Arms/Memorabilia fair at Belmont cancelled for the 16 &
17th and also the LCC” Love Logan” event at Kingston Raceway on
the 18th cancelled.
Let’s hope the Bunnings Sausage Sizzle on Sunday 31st goes ahead
at Bethania, even without a Free Covid jab in isle 5. We are optimistic
that things will pick up and we will be back to some normality.
The Catering we did for the Variety Bash fundraiser on Sunday 10th at
the Wellers Hill Bowls Club was a great success, it was a great family
day and we sold lots of food and raffle tickets, a big thank you the firms
who donated meat and fruit trays to help us. The Barefoot Bowls held
on Sundays at the club is a great source of entertainment for all ages,
I would recommend investigating it further.
The club had some sad news with the passing of Club member Tony Meade
who passed away on the 4th of October, please see our Vale for Tony.

is one of Lions International 5 Global causes and is supported by
Lions around the world.
District 201Q1 Convention
The convention due to Covid restrictions and its flow on effects has
now been reduced to a one day event on Sat 6th November at the Kooralbyn Valley Hotel Centre.
All normal voting for positions will be undertaken and important
presentations will still go ahead.
Any Lions who can attend are welcome to apply for the restricted attendance. As you can see I am going to be a very busy Lion, but it’s all for a good cause.
Yours in Lions
Lion Euan
It certainly looks like Euan has a busy schedule ahead of him, well done Euan keep up the good work and we look forward to all your Lions news!
Lions Christmas Raffle
The Raffle is going along nicely, we are still looking for a site or sites
in Yarrabilba to sell tickets at, if anybody knows a retail outlet please
let me know.

Car 1104: Please See The Calling Car 1104 Update Article
We have had a casualty even before DV has left the Den, unfortunately
our Bash Co-ordinator Bill had a nasty fall off his push bike and landed
up in hospital with several broken ribs and other injuries so he won’t
be going on the Bash, corrugated dirt roads and sore ribs do not go
together well.
Lion Phil has stepped into the breach and will be our Communications
person hopefully keeping us up to date on the trip, modern technology
allowing!!!
The crew set off on the 4 Nov for the start at Longreach on 6 Nov, let’s
hope the weather is kind to them and the air-con is working well, we
wish them all the best for a safe and successful trip

food outlets so come along and make a shopping day of it and we will

and parents stress more , please keep cool , drive safely on the roads

everybody else a great present, by getting the jab and hopefully we
