Mini Scarecrows To Watch Over The Garden
Tash Dev, overseer of the Yarrabilba Community Garden, recently held a craft project for the children of the local community to make a ‘mini’ scarecrow to put into the garden. The idea was for kids to create the little scarecrows from the project kits supplied, and then to either put them into their garden or to bring them back to the community garden beds.
Eli, Izack and Zoe spent quite a lot of time carefully gluing and colouring their scarecrows to finally admire their results saying: “My scarecrow is going to be scaring more humans than bugs!” and “My scarecrow’s going to eat the bugs!”, as well as “I’d rather be anywhere else!”. Kids, ha! Thanks guys, love your work!
